Mishigami GMRS Network
=======================

A private, Michigan-only GMRS radio network. Raspberry Pi
nodes, each wired to a real GMRS radio, linked over the
internet so licensed members can talk across the state like
one shared repeater.

Built on AllStarLink 3, but fully isolated from the public
AllStarLink network. Every node reaches the hub over a
private WireGuard tunnel -- no port forwarding required,
works behind ordinary home internet.

v1.6 - September 19, 2026 [LATEST]
  Hub announcements now reach every node reliably
    * Fixed a bug where scheduled and on-demand hub-wide announcements could play as choppy, partial audio, or fail to key up some radios at all, instead of playing cleanly everywhere.


v1.5 - September 6, 2026
  Real login pages, guest directory, password reset
    * Admin and the allmon3 status page now use a proper login page instead of a browser popup.
    * The node directory is now viewable without logging in (a limited, no-names view) — log in for the full one.
    * Self-service password reset by email, plus a quick "register" link wherever you log in.

  Talk: push-to-talk from your browser
    * New — Talk: key up and listen straight from a phone or laptop browser, no radio hardware needed.
    * “Web access” added as its own option on the registration form — one login for Talk, the directory, and node status.

  Jarvis voice assistant & weather alerts
    * New — Jarvis: an AI voice assistant members can ask a question over the air and get a spoken answer back.
    * Severe weather alerts and scheduled conditions reports, opt-in per node by ZIP code.
    * General network hardening and stability work under the hood.

  Member web accounts
    * New self-service login for the node directory and hub status pages, with viewer/admin roles and admin approval for new accounts.

  Multiple hubs, moderation, and announcements
    * The network can now run more than one hub (conference bridge) at once, picked per node.
    * New AI-assisted moderation, with a spoken on-air warning.
    * New scheduled and on-demand hub-wide announcements.

  Network launch
    * Self-service registration with FCC callsign lookup.
    * Live member node directory and the first hub online.
    * App/IAX2 client registration path for DVSwitch Mobile, iaxRpt, etc. — no hardware needed.

  Local Announcements (early rollout)
    * New — play short pre-recorded clips straight out your own node's radio, on demand or on a schedule, right from the wizard's Announcements & ID page.


v1.7 - September 8, 2026
  Current node image
    * New image bundles everything since the last one (August 29), including the weather alert accuracy fix, for anyone flashing a new Pi from today forward.


v1.6 - September 4, 2026
  Weather alert accuracy fix
    * Severe weather warnings now announce once per event instead of repeating on every poll cycle.
    * Current-conditions reports now mention an active warning while one's in effect.


v1.5 - August 25, 2026
  Directory pulled over the private tunnel
    * Nodes now fetch the member directory and status labels over their own private tunnel instead of a public URL.


v1.4 - August 29, 2026
  Current node image
    * Node nickname is now editable from the wizard and applies immediately.
    * Added a spoken, on-demand network-info announcement, triggered from the radio.
    * New weather alert poller, opt-in per node by ZIP code.
    * Faster, more reliable auto-reconnect to the hub on flaky mobile connections.


v1.3 - August 6, 2026
  AIOC support & reliability
    * Added support for AIOC USB radio interfaces.
    * allmon3 status dashboard now included on every node out of the box.
    * Nodes now self-heal their hub connection automatically if a link drops.
    * Consolidated several wizard setting pages into single save-and-apply forms.


v1.2 - August 5, 2026
  Audio & RF fixes
    * Fixed the receive audio boost control on affected sound cards.
    * Added volume control for the SA818 radio module.

  Multi-hub wizard support
    * Setup wizard updated so a node can pick which hub to join.


v1.0 - July 25, 2026
  First node image
    * Pre-built Raspberry Pi image, flashed with the official Imager tool — boots straight into a setup wizard, no SSH needed.
    * Automatic radio-module detection with reference photos for supported hardware.
    * WiFi/Ethernet network management and a member directory built into the wizard.
    * In-browser radio-programming terminal.
